This is the 2nd course of my "Double Header" golf trip to the Fort Wayne, IN area before some courses start shutting down for the winter. I didn't think this area had that much water but fourteen (14) holes had some type of water hazard to throw at you. This is a 1993 Ernie Shrock design and how he got this rolling waterlogged out of this mostly flat landscape, is amazing. There are homes on most of the holes but they are located back from the layout and not really intrusive. With the five (5) tee boxes you can choose from Golds at 7,039/74.9/138 down to Reds at 5,202/70.5/123 Par 36/36 or mix them up like we did. The locals I got paired up with (Steve & John) play the Front 9 Blue 3,237yds and the Back 9 Whites 3,002yds for 6,239yds because at 70+ years old, "We are just too tired, and want to relax on the home stretch". Conditions from tee to green were very good and the greens were still rolling at 9-10 and very smooth. The #3 hole is their Hcp 1 being a 399-306yd Par 4 dogleg right with water, tee to green, down the entire RH side. Follow that with #4 a 532-420yd Par 5 that is narrow and water LH side your last 180yds in, to a sand trap protected green. The #8 a 410-314yd Hcp 3 Par 4 with water LH on tee shot and water RH last 190yds to the green. Back 9 starts off with a dogleg left 420-310yd Par 4 that has water the entire LH side, including the green-side. The #11 Par 3 is the same distance as #2 & #7 at 165yds which was very nice but its a water carry down the complete LH side, missing right is ok. The #12 is a straight away 562-438yd Par 5 with sand traps at your landing areas, but no water. The #13 is a 415-315yd Hcp 4 Par 4 that has water down the entire LH side, including the green area. The #15 is a Hcp 12 Par 5 but having 535-421yds to travel between water, make one a little nervous. The #17 is double water dogleg left crossing for the 387-298yds with large sand traps framing the corner. Even though it took us 4 hrs 15 minutes to play on this sunny fall day, it was a very enjoyable course with good fellowship with fellow golfers.

Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
